The NOC of Ukraine said that the country will compete at the 2024 Olympics with the admission of the Russians
President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Ukraine Vadym Gutzeit on his Facebook page (banned in Russia; owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation) made a statement about the participation of the country in the 2024 Games in Paris, subject to the admission of Russian athletes.
Gutzeit considered that Ukrainians are obliged to perform at the Olympic Games. He also stressed that the Ukrainian side would agree to participate in the Games, subject to the admission of Russian and Belarusian athletes in a neutral status.
In July, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine allowed Ukrainian athletes to take part in international competitions in which Russian and Belarusian athletes compete in a neutral status. It is noted that the ban on the participation of teams from Ukraine continues to apply to tournaments in which athletes from Russia and Belarus compete under their own flags.
The Olympic Games are to be held in Paris from July 26 to August 11, 2024. The question of the participation of Russian athletes in competitions has not yet been resolved.
