Harry Kane wants to win the Champions League with Bayern Munich

“I came to this club to try to win the Champions League,” declared England striker Harry Kane on Sunday during his first press conference as a player of the Bayern Munchena day after his official debut for the team.

The striker highlighted that being in the German team increases his chances of winning the tournament so desired by clubs in Europe. “I want to play at the highest level, I want to play Champions League and fight for titles. Bayern gives me that possibility.”

“As I said before, I came to this club to try to win the Champions League and I have a good chance of winning it,” added Harry Kane.

Already thinking about his future with the Bavarian club, Kane commented on how special it would be to lift the “ear” at Wembley, in his native country – the competition decision is scheduled to take place at this stadium in 2024. “The prospect of trying to win at Wembley would be great for me,” continued Kane.

“Obviously, I’ve spent my whole career, my whole life in England and the Premier League. It may take some time to adapt,” acknowledged the 30-year-old striker, who is still chasing the first title of his career despite being the top scorer in England history with 58 goals.

Less than 24 hours after signing for Bayern, Kane took to the field for the first time in the Bavarian club’s shirt. He entered the second half of the German Supercup decision and could not avoid the team’s 3-0 defeat by RB Leipzig.

“I feel sorry for Harry Kane, he’s probably thinking we haven’t trained for four weeks,” quipped coach Thomas Tuchel, dissatisfied with the team’s performance.

“The reception I had here yesterday [sábado] it was amazing, but the season is still long. I want to thank everyone, the fans, Bayern.”
