Real Sociedad drew with Girona (1-1) this Saturday August 12 at its premiere in LaLiga EA Sports 2023-2024. The txuri-urdin team took the lead with a goal scored by Kubo in the 5th minute, but the Catalan team equalized in the 72nd minute thanks to a goal from Dovbyk.
Real began by taking possession of the ball and in the 5th minute they took the lead on the scoreboard: Take Kubo made it 1-0 on the scoreboard after shooting from inside the area and beating the visiting goalkeeper after receiving a great pass from Aihen Muñoz.
After the first goal of the match, the txuri-urdin team continued to dominate and attack. Thus, in the 15th minute, the referee Hernández Maeso signaled a penalty on Oyarzabal that he would annul to the relief of Girona after the appropriate VAR review.
The people from Girona grew as the match progressed, although without putting Álex Remiro in serious trouble in the first 45 minutes.
The high rhythm of the match was maintained after the break, fatigue did not appear and the locals refused to speculate on a favorable result which, at this point in the season and with the teams under construction, is a treasure.
Girona tried again and again, but they rarely set foot in the area and even less did it worry Remiro. Oyarzabal had the signature of the match in his boots when he finished off with all the intention to find the saving leg for Girona de Gazzaniga.
Later, in a breath, it went from a possible 2-0 to the visiting draw. In the 72nd minute Tsygankov reached the end line and saw Dovbyk unmarked at the long post, where he launched a ball that the newly arrived striker did not waste to score (1-1) his first goal with the rojiblanca shirt and give his team a point.
