Olympique came out ahead with Gerson, but suffered Brest’s upset in the French Championship

Olympique de Marseille hosted Brest this Saturday, for the 17th round of the French Championship, and suffered a comeback 2-1, losing the chance to give up the lead in the vice-leadership.

While the team is with 29 points, 12 less than Paris Saint-Germain, Brest climbs to sixth place, with 24 added.

In the next round, Olympique will travel to face Strasbourg on the 12th, at 13:00 (GMT). Brest will take the field next Saturday, against Montpellier, at the same time.

The game – Six minutes into the first half, in a swift counterattack, Gerson almost opened the scoring. After receiving the pass inside the area, he kicked across and had a beautiful defense from the goalkeeper.
