Boxer Roy Jones challenges MMA fighter Fedor Emelianenko
Former undisputed world boxing champion Roy Jones Jr. has challenged Russian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Fedor Emelianenko. It is reported by TASS.
According to him, the athlete does not need to box against Mike Tyson. “You need to finally have a duel with me. I’m sure it will be an incredibly big event. We are both Russian athletes, it will be very interesting,” Jones said.
Jones, 54, fought his last professional fight in 2018. In total, he has 66 wins with nine defeats in his professional career. In 2015, he received Russian citizenship.
On August 10, Fedor Emelianenko spoke about his desire to take part in a boxing match. He noted that he would like to fight with Tyson. The athlete ended his career in February this year.
