In Russia, there is a network of Ukrainian special services – the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). This was stated by adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak.
“Ukrainian special services – both the Main Intelligence Directorate and the SBU – have a fairly effective network in Russia,” he said in an interview with a Ukrainian TV channel, TASS reports. According to him, the Ukrainian special services can use this network.
He also noted that some “unidentified drones” are involved in the “incidents” taking place on the territory of Russia. According to him, the Russian Federation will experience an increasing number of drone attacks. “Unidentified drones” are already flying into the Russian Federation every night, Podolyak stressed, promising that “gradually the effectiveness of strikes will increase.”
Earlier, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov said that Kyiv would continue to attack Moscow and St. Petersburg. At the same time, Andrei Yusov, a spokesman for the Main Intelligence Directorate, reported that attacks on Russian territory were being carried out by a battalion considered to be a special forces unit of the Ukrainian military intelligence. According to the British newspaper The Times, “the fighters of the battalion have been carrying out sabotage raids on Russian infrastructure facilities for more than a year, and are also preparing the murders of senior officers of the RF Armed Forces.”
