Olympic champion in handball Vladlena Bobrovnikova announced a cure for cancer. The athlete told about this on Instagram (social network banned in Russia; belongs to the Meta corporation, recognized as an extremist organization and banned in the Russian Federation).
“After three months of treatment, six courses of chemotherapy, I was told that everything was clear on PET CT! There are no tumors! I’m happy to heaven! All the work is not in vain, ”wrote Bobrovnikova.
The handball player spoke about her illness in May 2023. Bobrovnikova shared that she was diagnosed with grade four Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a tumor disease of the lymphatic system. “I’m in the oncology institute for a week, and they give me chemotherapy, with restorative treatment, then I’m at home for a week,” the 35-year-old athlete described her treatment.
Bobrovnikova is a five-time champion of Russia and a seven-time winner of the Russian Cup along with Rostov-Don. As part of the Russian team, she won the gold of the 2016 Olympic Games, the silver of the 2020 Games and the bronze of the 2019 World Championship.
