O Real Madrid started looking for a new goalkeeper after Thibaut Courtois suffered a ligament injury. According to the Sky Sportsthe target of the club would be the Spanish David de Gea, who is free on the market since his departure from Manchester United.
The fact that the 32-year-old is not linked to any team would be one of the main attractions for Real to negotiate with him. De Gea did not have his contract renewed with Manchester United after the end of last season, after 12 years at the club.

The goalkeeper would arrive to take over the team’s goal while Courtois recovers from a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. The Belgian’s serious injury should sideline him for a good part of the season, and should leave him sidelined until 2024.
Negotiation with De Gea is also due to coach Carlo Ancelotti’s lack of confidence in Ukrainian Andriy Lunin. The then reserve of Courtois played a few times in the absence of the holder, but did not convince when he was on the field.
It is worth remembering that Real was very close to signing De Gea in 2015, but a problem in sending documents messed up the transfer. A Sky Sports also informs that the B cloth of the Madrid team would be also Spaniard Kepa Arrizabalaga, from Chelsea.
