Ministry of Health: exercises with holding static postures reduce blood pressure
Exercises characterized by holding static postures are the best for lowering blood pressure. This is stated in the article “Pravda.Ru”, prepared with the participation of the Deputy Director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “NMITs Endocrinology” of the Ministry of Health of Russia Elena Andreeva.
Among these exercises are various planks and wall squats. They, according to the authors, improve the functions, structure and mechanics of the heart, as well as the state of the vascular system and the functioning of the autonomic nervous system.
“Only eight minutes is enough for a lesson, divided into four sets of isometric exercises lasting about two minutes each. Rest periods of one to four minutes are used between sets. To achieve positive results, you need to perform these exercises only three times a week for three weeks, ”the material says.
On August 7, doctor Natalya Zubareva gave advice to older people for sports. She emphasized that before starting training, older people should not set unattainable goals for themselves. Also, in the process of exercising, it is necessary to rest and give the body time to recover.
