Spartak beat Pari Nizhny Novgorod 5-4 in the Russian Cup match
Moscow “Spartak” defeated “Paris Nizhny Novgorod” in the second round match of the group stage of the Russian Cup of the way of the Russian Premier League (RPL). This is reported by the correspondent of “Lenta.ru”.
The meeting was held in Moscow at the Otkritie Arena stadium and ended with a score of 5:4 in favor of the hosts. By the 36th minute, the red-whites were leading – 3:1. In the ninth minute, defender Leon Klassen scored, in the 15th – midfielder Danil Prutsev, then forward Pavel Meleshin. Forward Timur Suleymanov scored a goal for the guests in the 29th minute, midfielder Edgar Sevikyan scored in the 46th minute, defender Viktor Alexandrov scored in the 50th minute.
In the 56th minute, Suleimanov made a double, converting a penalty. Midfielder Mikhail Ignatov equalized in the 80th minute. In the 89th minute, midfielder Quincy Promes pulled out a victory for Spartak.
After two rounds, Spartak scored six points, and Nizhny Novgorod two. In the next round, the red-and-whites will take on Dynamo Moscow, and Nizhny Novgorod will take on Krasnodar. Both meetings will be held on August 29.
Earlier, Ural defeated Rostov in the second round match of the group stage of the Russian Cup on the RPL path. The meeting was held in Yekaterinburg and ended with the score 1:0 in favor of the hosts. The only goal in the 41st minute was scored by midfielder Alexander Yushin.
