The fight between Russian boxer Beterbiev and Smith will take place on January 13, 2024
Russian boxer Artur Beterbiev has learned a new date for the fight against Briton Callum Smith. She is called by the promotion company Top Rank in Twitter.
The fight will take place on January 13, 2024 at the Videotron Center in Quebec, Canada. The meeting was originally scheduled for August 19.
The fight was postponed due to health problems of the Russian. The boxer will need surgery due to a jaw bone infection after dental treatment. The operation will take place in Montreal.
On January 29, the Russian fought with Briton Anthony Yard and won by technical knockout in the eighth round. He defended three world titles in the light heavyweight category: according to the World Boxing Council (WBC), the International Boxing Federation (IBF) and the World Boxing Organization (WBO).
