At 38, veteran Valdivia is announced by Mexican team and will play with Araos

Chilean Jorge Valdivia, with a notable experience at Palmeiras, was announced as a reinforcement of Club Necaxa, a Mexican team that figures in the first division and recently signed Angelo Araos, previously at Corinthians.

The 38-year-old player was free on the market and his signing was announced on the Mexican club’s social media. Valdivia joins the team to compete in the local national tournament.

Revealed by Colo-Colo, the talented midfielder lived the best moments of his career for Palmeiras. With the shirt of the alviverde team, he won the Campeonato Paulista 2008 and the Copa do Brasil 2012, in addition to having participated in the 2015 edition of the national tournament.

The “Mago”, as he is known, also played 79 matches for Chile. The midfielder has participated in two World Cups and won the historic 2015 Copa America.

Valdivia will join Angelo Araos, ex-Corinthians, who was announced by Necaxa last Wednesday. Mexicans currently rank 14th in the Apertura Tournament.
