The marcher Glenda Morejón won the gold medal in the 20,000 meters march this Friday at the Junior Pan American Games in Cali-Valle, Colombia.

Morejón dominated the race from kilometer 10 and from there he took an advantage of his opponents. With this medal, the Ecuadorian team adds its third gold medal in athletics and the eighth overall.

The tricolor, who already participated in the Tokyo Olympics, recorded a time of 1:33:54.

His triumph was dedicated to God, his coach, family, among others: “It was a very strategic competition, we were able to set our own pace and achieve first place. I dedicate this medal to God, to my coach Julio Chuqui, to my teammates, to the people who have been with me in the most difficult moments and to my parents ”. (D)
