Russian skier shared the secret of performing in frost

Russian skier Artem Maltsev shared a secret that helps to perform well in cold weather. He told about this on the air of “Match TV”.

“My chip in the cold is my second coward,” the athlete said. Maltsev explained that in cold weather he wears thermal underwear and underpants on top, as well as warm socks. According to the skier, though worn, these socks are happy.

The athlete added that sometimes you have to run in two sets of thermal underwear. “It’s okay to wear two shorts, but if there are two sets of thermal underwear, then it’s already too heavy,” he said.

At the first stage of the World Cup in hand, the Norwegian skiers did not start the pursuit because of the frost. The temperature at the stadium dropped to minus 20 degrees. At the end of the race, the entire podium was taken by Russian skiers. Gold was won by Alexander Bolshunov, silver by Sergei Ustyugov, bronze by Maltsev. After the Russian fans criticized the Norwegian team and called them weaklings.
