Massachusetts Hospital Doctors Say Exercising Improves Heart Health
Doctors at the Massachusetts General Hospital have named a way to improve heart health through sports. The study is available on the Daily Mail website.
Scientists conducted an experiment on 90 thousand patients. Participants had to exercise systematically, either only on the weekends or a few days a week. In order to check the result, the doctors put on the test subjects wrist devices with an accelerometer.
A study has shown that weekly exercise reduces the risk of developing cardiovascular disease. At the same time, doctors said that patients could only engage in physical activity once a week, but it still brought results.
In February, scientists said that the risk of sudden cardiac arrest in older people while playing sports is estimated to be very low. To do this, they analyzed 4,078 such cases, which occurred among two million people over 65 years of age.
