Donald Trump praised Nurmagomedov’s performances in the UFC with the words “Khabib was great”
Former US President Donald Trump praised the performances of the former champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Khabib Nurmagomedov. His words leads the YouTube channel of the promotion.
“I think Khabib was great. Looks like he probably won’t be back. I was asking Dana White last night, “Where’s Khabib? Are you going to make him come back?” Trump said.
On April 26, the Sherdog portal included Nurmagomedov in the top 3 best fighters of the 2010s. The Russian took third place in the ranking. Topping the list is American Jon Jones, who holds the UFC heavyweight belt. Following him is his compatriot Demetrius Johnson, a former champion of the organization in the flyweight division.
Nurmagomedov defended the UFC lightweight title three times, after which he retired. The athlete won 29 victories in 29 professional fights. The Russian held his last fight in October 2020, being stronger than the American Justin Gaethje.
