Ralf Rangnick got a work permit to take over as Manchester United manager

The German will give his first press conference this Friday and will make his debut on the bench on Sunday against Crystal Palace.

Ralf Rangnick already has the work permit to assume the position of manager of Manchester United and He will be able to direct his first game this Sunday against Crystal Palace.

The German coach, despite being hired last Monday, has not received a work permit until today and will have to watch Thursday’s game against Arsenal from the stands, in which it will be the last game of Michael Carrick in front of the team.

The Englishman led the victory against Villarreal in the Champions League and the draw against Chelsea in the Premier, after the departure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team.

Rangnick will speak to the press this Friday and will be on the bench for the first time this Sunday against Crystal Palace. After this, United will host the Young Boys at Old Trafford.

The 63-year-old German will only sit on the Red Devils’ benches until the end of the season, until the English side gets a suitable coach to lead the team next year.

He will then occupy a sports consultant role for the next two seasons, seeking to improve the structure of Manchester United.

Rangnick was Lokomotiv Moscow’s sporting director since last summer, having worked for decades in Germany, especially as coach of RB Leipzig. (D).
