Napoli takes a goal from the midfield, but seeks a draw against Spal in a friendly

Napoli drew 1-1 with Spal in a friendly held this Monday at the Estadio Comunale in Dimaro, Italy. The goals were scored by Frank Anguissa and Filippo Puletto.

In a game in which they decided to start using reserve players, Napoli failed to impose themselves as expected, but owned two great opportunities in the first half. In the 16th minute, Mateo Politano finished firmly and the ball went wide of the crossbar. Afterwards, Mathías Oliveira, at 38, received a launch in the area and tried a volley, but it didn’t hit the target.

In the second stage, coach Rudi Garcia made ten changes and put the starters to do new tests in the team. After just eight minutes, Osimhem made a good move, invaded the area and made a low cross for Kvaratskhelia, who kicked the crossbar. In the next bid, Raspadori received the ball and was free to finish, but ended up sending it out.

However, despite Napoli’s superiority, Spal opened the scoring in the 17th minute of the second with a midfield goal scored by Filippo Puletto. The midfielder took a free kick close to the center line and caught goalkeeper Alex Meret by surprise, who was ahead and just watched the ball go in. The tie came in the 28th minute, when Frank Anguissa received a cross from Zielinski and only needed to complete it into the back of the net.

Before debuting in the Italian Championship against Frosinone, on August 19, Napoli will play four more international friendlies. The next one will take place on Saturday, when the team faces Hatayspor, from Turkey, at 1:30 pm (Brasília time), at Teofilo Patini Stadium.
