jon rahm has finished this sunday in second position the 2023 British Opensix strokes of the winner, the American Brian Harman, at the Royal Liverpool Club. The man from Barrika has completed his round of the fourth and final day of the championship with one under par, for a total of -7. For his part, Adrian Otaeguiwith one over par in the last round, has finally qualified in 55th place.
On a day marked by heavy rain falling on the field, Rahm was unable to maintain the spectacular level he had shown on Saturday, but he did not give up his place among the best, taking a remarkable second place. He has started with four holes at par, and in the fifth he has achieved a “birdie”, although, just before the middle of the course, in the nine, he has seen how a “bogey” has taken him away from his chances of winning the British Open.
Even so, he has said goodbye in the best possible way, with another “birdie”, which has earned him the ovation of the public and has meant that he finished with 70 strokes and a cumulative of -7.
For his part, Adrián Otaegui finished off his performance at the 2023 British Open with a haul of 72 strokes, one over par for the course, for a total of +5. The man from San Sebastián, who was among the first in the first two days, has obtained 55th place in the fourth and last major championship of the season.
Harman, 26, has scored his first major victory, completing a perfect tournament at the Royal Liverpool Club from day one.
