Midfielder Newerton, just 18 years old, was announced this Friday by Shakhtar Donetsk, from Ukraine. The young man was in the base categories of the São Paulobut has yet to debut in the pros.
The agreement between the Ukrainian club and the Brazilian player is valid for five seasons, until June 2028, as announced by Shakhtar Donetsk.

In 2021, for the sub-17 of Tricolor Paulista, Newerton played 28 matches and scored 18 goals. As for the sub-20, last season, the midfielder had 24 appearances in the Brasileirão and Paulistão of the category and scored five goals and distributed five assists.
Before playing for São Paulo, Newerton also played for Sport’s under-15 team.
