In Real Valladolid, the various statements of the Ecuadorian winger Gonzalo Plata, who on several occasions hinted that he wants to leave the Iberian team that will play in the second division of Spain this season, did not go well.

On Wednesday, at a press conference, the club’s sports director Fran Sánchez indicated that he reprimanded the footballer for his statements and admitted that the institution did not like it.

“I told him (Silver). I didn’t like his statements because this club gave him the opportunity to be in the first division and to play in Spain. He is one of the squad. A talented 22-year-old player, who has always been in demand and has responded well, in general, except for some unpleasant situation that he has already paid for (the Ecuadorian had a traffic accident while driving drunk, in December 2021),” he said.

This Thursday, it was the turn of Paulo Pezzolano, Valladolid’s technical director, who also did not hide his discomfort with this situation.

“His words were not well-timed either. We will see what will happen with his future, but if he stays, he will have to change some details that are very important to us”, he concluded. (D)
