UFC fighter Umar Nurmagomedova says he will come back stronger after shoulder injury

Russian mixed martial artist (MMA) Umar Nurmagomedov commented on the withdrawal from the fight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). The athlete spoke on Instagram (the social network is banned in the Russian Federation; belongs to the Meta corporation, which is recognized as extremist in Russia and banned).

The fighter did not enter the octagon due to a shoulder injury. “Things happen. Injuries are just a part of sports life. Praise be to Allah in any situation. Of course, I’m upset, but I’m not complaining one bit. The goals and ambitions are the same. Fix my shoulder and come back stronger. Inshallah,” Nurmagomedov said.

On the night of August 6, Nurmagomedov was supposed to head the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) tournament for the first time in his career. The cousin of former promotion champion Khabib Nurmagomedov was scheduled to fight American Corey Sandhagen.

27-year-old Umar Nurmagomedov has 16 wins and no losses in MMA. He has four fights in the UFC.
