Despite the initial contact, the French newspaper points out that no official proposal was made by the 30-year-old player. However, PSG have already defined that the price for Verratti is around 80 million euros (R$ 429.5 million).
This value scares the Spanish club, which hopes to receive a first “ok” from the Italian player to start negotiations and try to lower the price or include another athlete in the deal.
Other names that Diego Simeone’s team explores to compose the midfield next season include Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, from Tottenham, and Sofyan Amrabat, from Fiorentina.
