Tata Martino projects Lionel Messi’s possible debut for Inter Miami; check out

Coach Tata Martino spoke about the likely release date of Lionel Messi by Inter Miami, from the United States. The coach preaches caution, but he already has an idea of when he will be able to use the Argentine star.

“I don’t rule out Leo’s debut, but I have to see him in another training session, also see how he feels, both he and Busquets. The two arrived very well, we can expect to see them on Friday, but I don’t want to rush into saying something I can’t fulfill”, said Martino, in an interview with TyC Sports.

With that, a possible Messi debut is for this Friday’s game, against Cruz Azul, at 9 pm (Brasília time), for the Leagues Cup. The tournament brings together teams from both Major League Soccer (MLS) and Liga MX, from Mexico.

Tata Martino will coach Lionel Messi for the third time in his coaching career (Barcelona, Argentina national team and Inter Miami). On this occasion, the coach tells how he sees the Argentine player in the new phase he is going through.

“These are beautiful phases, all different. I find him with the same will as always, but in another phase and much more relieved with everything that has happened to the Argentine national team in recent years. It was a very heavy weight that he had on his shoulders (winning the World Cup) and taking that weight off turned him into his day-to-day life”, he revealed.
