Ronaldo says he won’t return to European leagues due to falling levels
Saudi Al-Nasr striker Cristiano Ronaldo has ruled out a return to European football. His words lead to Twitter journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The 38-year-old athlete said that he would no longer return to the European championships due to the fall in their levels. “The only decent league is the English Premier League, it is far ahead of all the others,” he added.
The Portuguese moved to Al Nasr on December 30, 2022. The striker’s contract is for two years. His salary at the club is 200 million euros per year.
Ronaldo is a five-time Ballon d’Or winner. He has five victories in the Champions League, as well as league titles in England, Spain and Italy. Together with the Portuguese national team, the footballer became the European champion in 2016, the silver and bronze medalist of the continental championship, and also the winner of the UEFA Nations League in 2019.
