Kane ‘fully committed’ to Tottenham, says manager

The new technician TottenhamAnge Postecoglou, declared this Monday (17) that striker Harry Kane is “fully committed” to the London club, amid speculation about a departure.

The 29-year-old, whose contract with the Spurs runs until June 2024, is intended, among other teams, by Bayern Munchenwho has been looking for a top-level striker since Poland’s Robert Lewandowski joined Barcelona a year ago.

“I had a good chat with Harry… nothing transcendental or definitive,” said Postescoglou, who took over at Tottenham in June. He prepares the team for a pre-season friendly against West Ham in Perth (Australia), this Tuesday.

“Harry and I are perfectly on board with the fact that we want the team to be successful this year,” added the coach.

“He’s here and as long as he’s here he’s fully committed to what we do,” said Postecoglou.

Bayern Munich honorary president Uli Hoeness told reporters on Saturday that Kane was “decided” to accept a move to the Bavarian club.

“Nobody from Munich said anything to me,” declared the Tottenham coach. “If other clubs want to talk about our contract players, it’s more of a problem for them than it is for us,” he added.
