The champion of the Games-2012 Postrigay got from St. Petersburg to Moscow by kayak in two weeks
The champion of the 2012 Olympic Games in rowing, Yuri Postrigai, traveled from St. Petersburg to Moscow by kayak. It is reported by TASS.
“I thought it would be easier. At the beginning of the journey, we got into such weather when it rained every day. In addition, I rowed the entire route against a current of ten kilometers per hour, my leg was taken away, my whole body ached, ”Postrigay said, adding that at the beginning of the route he regretted that he had started the journey.
It took the 34-year-old athlete two weeks to overcome this path. It started on July 2 from the Park of the 300th Anniversary of St. Petersburg and arrived in Moscow on July 16 at Serebryany Bor Park. Thus, Postrigai set a Russian record in the category “The shortest time to overcome the distance in a kayak on the route St. Petersburg – Moscow.” Throughout the route he was accompanied by a boat.
Postrigay is the 2012 Olympic champion in the 200-meter kayak-two. He won this medal jointly with Alexander Dyachenko. Shearing also has two golds, two silvers and a bronze at the World Championships.
