Risa Shimizu and Yui Hasegawa scored for Japan in the first half, while Aoba Fujino, Yui Hasegawa – for the second time – and Moeka Minami extended and closed the account against Panama in the second half. The Panamanian team is Brazil’s first opponent at the World Cup, on July 24, at 8 am (Brasília time), in Brisbane.
France was defeated by Australia, host country of the Cup, with a goal by Mary Fowler in the 21st minute of the second half. The French team will meet Brazil in the second round of the group stage, on July 29, at 7 am (Brasília time), also in Brisbane.

Colombia v Ireland suspended
Another friendly involving two teams participating in the Women’s World Cup was scheduled for this Friday morning, but ended up suspended after just 20 minutes of action. The measure was taken after the player became “excessively physical”, according to a statement from the Irish Football Association.
Colombia is part of Group H and debuts in the World Cup on July 24, at 23:00, against South Korea. Ireland, on the other hand, is in Group A and starts its journey against the host Australia on July 20, at 7 am.
