It became known about the attack with a bat on an Arsenal footballer in London

Two robbers attacked Arsenal’s Brazilian defender Gabriel in London. Reported by the Daily Mail.

The attack on the football player took place in August 2021, but the details of what happened have become known only now. The robbers tracked the athlete and his friend Rodrigo Tovares, who were returning home. The criminals entered Gabriel’s garage and began to threaten him. They demanded the keys to the Mercedes car, a phone and a watch. After one of the intruders pounced on a football player with a bat, but the athlete fought him back, and the robbers fled.

It was possible to find one of the attackers thanks to DNA analysis from the cap he lost. The perpetrator was a previously convicted 26-year-old Abderaham Musa. He was sentenced to five years in prison. It has not yet been possible to catch two of his accomplices.

The judge considering the case stated that the perpetrators were not targeting Gabriel as an English Premier League star. They tracked down the footballer because they thought he was rich enough to rob.

Gabriel has been playing for Arsenal since September 2020. According to the Spotrac portal, the football player’s annual salary is more than 4.6 million pounds.
