América-MG loses to Colo-Colo in Chile and starts behind in the playoffs of Sudamericana

On Tuesday night, the America-MG visited Colo-Colo for the outward departure of playoffs and Copa Sudamericanaat the Estadio Monumental David Arellano, in Macul, Chile, and lost by 2 to 1. Midfielder Leonardo Gil scored twice for the Chileans, while Alê, in second-half stoppage time, reduced the score for the miners.

Thus, Coelho leaves behind in the dispute for a place in the round of 16 of the continental competition. The Brazilian team, then, needs to reverse the disadvantage to remain alive in the tournament. For that, they need to win by a goal to take the duel to penalties. If you win by two or more distance goals, you advance straight to the next phase.

It is worth remembering that the winner of the match between Minas Gerais and Chile faces Red Bull Bragantino in the round of 16 of the Sudamericana.

Now, América-MG and Colo-Colo will face each other again, in the return match, next Tuesday (18), at 7 pm (Brasília time), at Arena Independência, in Belo Horizonte (MG).

Before that, however, Coelho defines a place in the semifinals of the Copa do Brasil. On Saturday, starting at 4:30 pm, the team from Minas Gerais will face Corinthians, at the Neo Química Arena. With that, in the 47th minute, Alê received the ball arranged by Juninho after a corner kick in the area and he hit it with style, in the angle, to score the goal from Minas Gerais in the match.
