Islam Makhachev asked UFC President Dana White about the next fight
Russian mixed martial artist (MMA) Islam Makhachev in Twitter turned to the president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Dana White.
The athlete’s question was about his next fight. “Dana White, who? Place!” Makhachev wrote.
On July 2, American MMA fighter Grant Dawson said that Makhachev’s path to the UFC title was strange. “He fought great fighters, then weaker opponents, then tops again, and then he looked great in the championship fight. Everyone has their own way, ”said the athlete.
Makhachev is the current UFC lightweight champion. He won the belt in October 2022 with a stoppage victory over Brazilian Charles Oliveira at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi. Subsequently, he successfully defended the title in a duel against Australian Alexander Volkanovski, the organization’s featherweight champion. In total, the Russian had 25 fights in his career, in which he won 24 victories and suffered one defeat.
