Hospitalized PSG goalkeeper Rico says he’s getting better every day
The hospitalized Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Sergio Rico turned to fans on Instagram (social network is banned in Russia; belongs to the Meta company, which is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).
“I would like to thank everyone who showed signs of love during these difficult days. I continue to work to improve my health, and every day I get better, ”said the athlete.
On July 5, it became known that Rico was transferred from intensive care to a regular ward. The athlete’s wife, Alba Silva, added that there are no predictions yet as to when the PSG football player will be discharged from the hospital.
Information about Riko’s hospitalization appeared on May 28. He was in Seville and made a pilgrimage to Huelva – to the chapel of the Virgin Rocío. During a horseback ride, Rico ran into someone else’s runaway horse. She hit him in the neck, after which the athlete fell and received a head injury. He was sent to the hospital by helicopter.
Rico started playing for PSG in 2019. He spent 24 matches in the team and became a two-time French champion. Previously, the goalkeeper played for the Spanish Sevilla and Mallorca, as well as the English Fulham.
