The transfer card of hockey player Ivan Fedotov was not used for the contract with CSKA
The transfer card of Russian goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov, who returned from the army, was not used for a contract with CSKA Moscow. Details appeared at Sport-Express.
According to the source, the decision of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) on the legitimacy of the concluded agreement was made without consultations from the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). It is noted that without a transfer card, a hockey player cannot be allowed to participate in the tournament.
Fedotov signed a new contract with CSKA on July 1. Later, the leadership of the KHL confirmed this information.
In July 2022, Fedotov was detained in St. Petersburg on suspicion of evading military service. He was going to fly to the United States to play for Philadelphia next season. Later, Fedotov was taken to the training unit of the Russian Navy for military service.
