Football player Edin Dzeko joined Fenerbahce squad for the PARI Premier Cup tournament

Bosnian striker of the Turkish Fenerbahce Edin Dzeko joined the team that went to the PARI Premier Cup tournament in St. Petersburg. The composition was available in Twitter football club.

Competitions will be held from 1 to 15 July. St. Petersburg Zenit, Serbian Red Star and Azerbaijani Neftchi will also take part in the tournament.

On June 27, it became known that the decision to go to the international friendly tournament “PARI Premier Cup” in Fenerbahce was ambiguous. Legionnaires, including the captain of the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dzeko, refused to participate in matches because of the political situation in the world and within Russia.

After that, a member of the board of directors of Fenerbahce, Salahattin Baki, said that the team would take part in the competition. He stressed that the club has no reason to act otherwise.

In the fall of 2022, Dzeko also refused to play in the test match between the national teams of Russia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was planned to be held in November in St. Petersburg. The meeting did not take place in the end.
