Vitaly Mutko spoke about the proposal to the Swede Zlatan Ibrahimovic to become a citizen of Russia
Former Minister of Sports of Russia and ex-president of the Russian Football Union (RFU) Vitaly Mutko recalled how he invited the Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Russia. He spoke about this in an interview with the YouTube channel “Comment.Show”.
Mutko noted that it was in 2017, when a footballer with Manchester United came to Rostov-on-Don for a Europa League match with Rostov (1:1). “In pure English, he said: “Do you want to become a citizen of Russia? We will give you a passport!”, He shared.
Mutko added that at the same time he made an offer to the coach of the English club Jose Mourinho. “I said that in the future he could become a head coach in Russia,” he said.
