The politician and tycoon, who died last month aged 86, was a controversial figure in Italy, but his success as a football club owner has made him popular with supporters.
He was in charge of Milan between 1986 and 2017, transforming a club that was on the verge of bankruptcy into one of the giants on the European stage. Under his stewardship, the Rossoneri won five Champions Leagues and eight titles from Italian Championship.
After selling Milan for 740 million euros (R$ 3.9 billion at current exchange rates), in 2018 he bought Monza, which was then in Italy’s third division and is currently in Serie A.
Last season, his first in the elite, the team finished the league in 11th place.
