Ex-Corinthians, Willian approaches renewal with Fulham; see details

Striker Willian, formerCorinthians, is close to renewing his contract with Fulham, from England. The information is from The Athletic. The English club would have managed to forward an agreement with the Brazilian athlete after disagreements between both partiesmeeting the request of coach Marco Silva, who considers him one of the key pieces of the team’s scheme.

Fulham had offered £50,000 a week (about R$313,000), amounts that resembled Willian’s current contract. This equality would have bothered the player, who would like an appreciation. According to the portal, the English made an effort and reached around 100,000 pounds (about R$ 626,000) a week.

Willian had a contract with Fulham until June 30, was quoted for a transfer, but managed to reach a common denominator with his club and is close to staying. Final details remain for the agreement to be made official.

In the 2022/23 season, Wllian played 30 games, scored five goals and scored five assists. Since leaving Corinthians at the end of 2022, the Brazilian athlete has wanted to return to Premier League and should remain in the league until his retirement.
