PSG president Al-Khelaifi says Mbappe can’t go to Real Madrid for free
The President of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Nasser Al-Khelaifi, appreciated the opportunity to release striker Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid for free. His words are quoted by RMC Sport.
The functionary said that it was impossible to make a transfer under such conditions. “He himself said that he would never leave for free, if he changes his mind today, then it is not my fault. We don’t want to let go of the best player in the world for free, that’s obvious,” Al-Khelaifi added.
On June 25, it became known that PSG was asking for 250 + 50 million euros for the striker, while Real are ready to pay a maximum of 200 + 20 million for him. At the same time, Marca said that the player expects to receive a salary of 240 million euros per season in the Spanish team.
Mbappe has defended the colors of PSG since 2018. His current contract with the team runs until 2024 with the option of a one-season extension. Real Madrid tried to acquire the player in the spring of 2022, but then the transfer fell through.
