In Syria, they said that there was not a single Russian in the application of the national team for the Pan-Arab Games-2023

The head of the Syrian Sports Federation, Firas Maala, commented on the inclusion of Russian athletes in the national team’s bid for the 2023 Pan Arab Games. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

“There is not a single non-Syrian athlete in the Syrian national team in Algeria,” Maala said. He added that three Russians applied to international federations to change their sports citizenship in order to play in Syrian teams, but were refused.
