Forward “Washington Capitals” Ivan Miroshnichenko called the biggest difficulty for the Russians in the National Hockey League (NHL). His words leads the official website of the team.
“What is the most difficult thing for a Russian player in the NHL? Probably, it will be difficult for me not so much to adjust to the current hockey, but to get used to the language and the whole way of life. It’s all different here,” the striker said. He also noted that the size of the sites where they play in the league is different from Russian ones.
Miroshnichenko was drafted 20th overall by the Washington Capitals in 2022. The rookie contract is for three years. In the 2022/2023 season, the striker played in the Kontinental Hockey League for Avangard.
In March 2022, the athlete was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. After three months of treatment in Germany, the player beat cancer and returned to training.
