The decisive match between Bayern Munchen e Barcelona, for the 6th round of the group stage of the Champions League, will not have fans in the Allianz Arena. The initiative, focused on not increasing the number of covid-19 cases, was confirmed by Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder on Tuesday.
“It is important to decide today in a unitary way for the whole country that spectators are not admitted. If it doesn’t work at the federal level, we’ll only do it at the Bavarian level. Football has an important role as an example. Right now we have to reduce contacts everywhere,” Söder told the Bavarian radio.
The restriction measure will run until the end of the year. In this way, Bayern will also play in the Bundesliga at home without an audience. In all, there are two matches: against Mainz and Wolfsburg.
The duel with Barcelona is scheduled for Wednesday (8/12), at 17:00 (GMT). Deputy leader of Group E, the Spanish team needs to win to depend only on itself and advance to the round of 16.
