Turkey says they won’t play Russia in September as they have matches scheduled
Press attache of the Turkish Football Federation Turker Tozar spoke about the possibility of holding a friendly match with the Russian national team. It is reported by Sport24.
According to him, Türkiye will not be able to play with the Russians in September. “We already have scheduled dates for FIFA matches: on September 8, the Euro 2024 qualifier against Armenia, and on September 12, a friendly against Japan. Is it possible to organize a match with the Russian team in the future? It is still difficult to talk about this topic,” Tozar said.
On June 29, the press secretary of the Hungarian Football Federation, Gergo Chabo, said that the national team would not be able to play a friendly match with the Russian team in September this year. According to him, the meeting cannot be included in the schedule of the Hungarian national team.
On June 11, it became known that the Russian national football team will play a friendly match against the national team of Qatar. The meeting should take place in September, the Russians will play on the road.
