the dispute between Barcelona e Real Madrid by Arda Guler, Fenerbahce’s jewel, continues at full steam. Both Spanish teams have already designed proposals to keep the promise.
According to Sports worldboth Barça and Real arrived at the value of the Turkish athlete’s termination fine, valued at 17.5 million euros (about R$ 91 million), but the offers would be shaped in different ways.
Barcelona’s idea is to pay part of the amount when signing the contract and then lend it to Fenerbahce himself. Then, after a year, he would pay the remainder when the player returned to Catalonia.
Real Madrid, on the other hand, would pay the amount in three installments for the athlete, who would be part of the B team. The first installment, immediately, would be 50% of the value. After 12 and 24 months, the remaining two installments of 25% would be deposited into the Turkish club’s accounts. Furthermore, the Spanish team would leave Fenerbahce with 20% of a future sale of Guler.
Aiming to lead the race for Arda Guler, Barcelona sent director Deco to Istanbul to try to reach an agreement with Fenerbahce and their jewel. The information was confirmed by President Joan Laporta.
“Deco was in Istanbul and said that (Arda Guler) is a great talent. We are trying to close the transaction. He is a young player. LaLiga allows us to carry out operations for the next season, which do not count in the current one. He has aroused interest in the Premier League and in La Liga. Deco and Mateu (Alemany) are trying to close the operation”, revealed Laporta.
Real Madrid wants to continue the line of signing promising youngsters and developing them at their club. As it was with Vinícius Júnior and Rodrygo – and it will be with Endrick -, Real is firmly in the fight for the Turkish athlete.
Arda Guler stood out for Fenerbahce in the Turkish Championship, scoring four goals in 20 appearances, with 11 as a starter. The 18-year-old left-handed winger was called up by the Türkiye in recent Fifa dates and scored a great goal against Wales, in the Euro Cup qualifiers.
