A revelation of Turkish football, Arda Guler has attracted the attention of the biggest teams in Europe, including Real Madrid and Barcelona. On Thursday, the president of the BarçaJoan Laporta, confirmed that he sent director Deco to Turkey to advance the negotiations.
“Deco was in Istanbul and said that (Arda Guler) is a great talent. We are trying to close the transaction. He is a young player. LaLiga allows us to carry out operations for the next season, which do not count in the current one. He has aroused interest in the Premier League and in La Liga. Deco and Mateu (Alemany) are trying to close the operation”, revealed Laporta.
Arda Guler stood out for Fenerbahce in the Turkish Championship, scoring four goals in 20 appearances, with 11 as a starter. The 18-year-old left-handed winger was called up by the Türkiye in recent FIFA dates and scored a great goal against Wales, in the Euro Cup qualifiers, last week.

The Turkish prospect is being closely watched by clubs in England and Spain. In addition to quality, Arda Guler also calls interest in the “cheap” termination fine, valued at 18 million euros (about R$ 94 million).
Born in Brazil and naturalized Portuguese, Deco took over as director of football at Barcelona in May this year. The former player works alongside Mateu Alemany, also a director who works in the administrative part of the Catalan club.
