PSG head coach Christophe Galtier arrested on suspicion of discrimination
PSG head coach Christophe Galtier and his son John Valovic have been detained in Nice on suspicion of discrimination. It is reported by Le Parisien.
They are currently being questioned by the police. On April 12, it became known that Galtier, while working at Nice, sent an email to the former director of the club, Julien Fournier, in which he pointed out the inadmissibility of having a large number of blacks and Muslims in the team. “Our team does not reflect what people want, just as it does not reflect me,” Fournier wrote the coach.
The publication noted that the specialist faces up to three years in prison if the charges in the case of racist statements are proven. In addition to imprisonment, he may be fined 45,000 euros.
Galtier has been in charge of PSG since July 2022. Before that, he worked with Nice for a year.
