The Kremlin reacted to the detention of the Russian hockey player in Poland

The Kremlin has no details about the detention of the Russian hockey player in Poland

The Kremlin does not have details of the detention of the Russian hockey player in Poland on charges of espionage. This was announced to TASS by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.

“I am sure that the embassy will find out all this now, we will get some details, although, of course, it is very, very difficult for the embassy to work in Warsaw now due to the completely frenzied Russophobic position of the Polish authorities,” he responded.

The detention of the hockey player became known earlier on June 30. According to the Mash Telegram channel, this is 20-year-old Zaglembe player Maxim Sergeev.

This is the 14th person detained during this investigation. “All [задержанные] were identified as foreigners from abroad carrying out intelligence, propaganda activities against Poland and preparing acts of sabotage on behalf of Russian intelligence, ”the website of the Internal Security Agency says.

The man faces up to ten years in prison. So far, the court has decided on his arrest for three months.
