The fight to sign Declan Rice from West Ham continues to be fierce in England. This Wednesday, the manchester city abandoned the battle for the purchase of the steering wheel after the Arsenal make a proposal of 105 million pounds, approximately R$ 642 million.
According to the English newspaper Sky Sports, the current champion club of Champions League, had offered 80 million pounds for Declan Rice. Manchester City lost in this transfer window one of their main midfielders, Ilkay Gundogan, who is leaving for barcelona.
Arsenal, however, also want the England midfielder. For that, he is willing to pay dearly, more than Pep Guardiola’s team intended to disburse. The Gunners have made a third offer for Rice, which includes an initial £100m plus £5m from performance clauses.
West Ham has taken advantage of the harassment by its midfielder. So far, the team has turned down three bids for him, two from Arsenal, worth £80 and £90 million, and one from Manchester City, worth £90 million.
For Arsenal to complete the signing, they will still have to discuss the structure of the deal, as West Ham must want the full amount in a short time.
Manchester City, meanwhile, have recently announced a midfield player and are not desperate for signings. Last Tuesday, the team confirmed the arrival of Mateo Kovacic, a Croatian midfielder who belonged to chelsea.
