The result takes Elche to 12 points, in 17th place in the Spanish Championship. Osasuna now has 20 points and is in tenth place.
In the first half of the balance between the teams, Osasuna opened the scoring after six minutes, with Ante Budimir converting a penalty kick. Elche went after the tie and found the goal in the 18th minute, with Fidel headed.
The second half was competitive, but the offensive sectors failed to decide and failed to score the winning goal.
Elche returns to the field this Sunday, when they host Cádiz CF at the Manuel Martínez Valero Stadium at 12:15 pm (GMT). On the same day, Osasuna will visit Levante at Ciudad de Valencia Stadium at 2:30 pm.
