American fighter banned for two years after UFC debut

American fighter Smith banned for two years after UFC debut

American mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Braxton Smith has been suspended for two years. This was reported on the website of the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA).

The athlete passed three positive tests between April 19 and May 6 this year, all violations are combined into one case. Smith made his Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) debut on May 6 in a TKO loss to Parker Porter. The period of his disqualification will be counted from the moment of the first delivery of a positive sample.

Prior to joining the UFC, the 33-year-old Smith won three fights in a row. In total, he has three wins and two losses in MMA.

On June 26, Irish mixed martial artist (MMA) Conor McGregor named himself the king of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). “I am forever the king of the rankings, regardless of the weight category,” said the 34-year-old athlete.
