The husband of the 2014 Olympic champion Yulia Lipnitskaya, former figure skater Vladislav Tarasenko, arrived from the zone of the special military operation (SVO). It is reported by RIA Novosti.
The athlete clarified that her husband came on vacation.
Tarasenko was called up as part of a partial mobilization in October 2022. The 25-year-old figure skater received a summons and appeared at the military registration and enlistment office. It was noted that he was trained at the training ground in Alabino near Moscow.
Then the head of the Angela Plushenko Academy, producer Yana Rudkovskaya, spoke about an error in the mobilization of Tarasenko. “He did not fall under this wave, it was a mistake. You can refuse or agree. He could protest, he did not serve, he was only in the sports company. But I decided to do my duty, ”said Rudkovskaya.
In July 2020, Tarasenko and Lipnitskaya became parents. Lipnitskaya is the 2014 Olympic champion in team competition. Tarasenko trained with Alexei and Tatiana Mishin, as well as Eteri Tutberidze. In 2015, he won the final of the Russian Cup among juniors. The athlete ended his career in 2017.
